CEC is a program of learning and
sharing for adults in the North County area. Conceived in 1978 by
a group of people in Rancho Bernardo, it became a project of San Diego
State University (SDSU), College of Extended Studies. Since that time it
has grown from a few scattered forums to more than 100 courses, exciting foreign
and domestic travel programs and special
events each year.
The CEC faculty includes outstanding
business and professional people, retired teachers, and active professors
from SDSU and other universities. The curriculum is large and varied: history,
languages, anthropology, psychology, world events, art, financial planning,
health, science, literature, travel, politics and many others. CEC has,
or will have, a course for you.
The Continuing Education Center at Rancho
Bernardo is funded through membership and course fees, and donations, which
are tax deductible. The faculty and officers are all volunteers.
