A very busy April in Rancho Bernardo
The RB Historical Society will hold its general meeting on Monday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at the library Community Room. Learn all about the fascinating process of restoring the Sikes Adobe Farmhouse near Rancho Bernardo from Ione Steigler, the chief architect, and Susan Carter of the San Dieguito River Park. Steve Breen, popular syndicated editorial cartoonist and Pulitzer Prize winner on the staff of the Union-Tribune, will present a program, sharing his ideas and perceptions, on April 8th at 1:30 p.m. at Seven Oaks Community Center. Logan Jenkins, popular newspaper columnist, will address The RB Press Club on Friday, April 11th at 10:30 a.m in the conference room at the San Diego National Bank. Guests of members are welcome. RB Senior Services will present a seminar on Acupuncture on Friday, April 25 from 10 to 11 a.m. at their offices. Dr. Ben Wang will on hand to answer all your questions and show a video. RB Senior Services is again sponsoring free income tax assistance now through April 15. There are some appointments available, but call early. For more information on what to bring and in-home assistance, call 487-2640. RB Republican Women, Federated meets every 3rd Friday at 11(except July, August and December). On Friday, April 18 at 11:30 a.m. at Stoneridge Country Club Ron Nehring, Chairman, San Diego Republican Party will speak on "Policy and Politics." The North Central Democratic Club will meet Monday, April 28th at Remington Club II at 7:00 p.m. The featured speaker, Randall Hamud, will present "Remnants of Civil Liberties." Mr. Hamud was named the North County Bar Association’s Lawyer of the Year and is the lawyer for Muslims detained in San Diego suspected of terrorist activities. Join the RB Travelers on April 26, for their trip to the Ramona Pageant; this American Indian story is told in outdoor pageantry in the mountains outside Hemet, CA.
