Funds needed to keep RB safe, secure and prepared
for disaster
Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Preparedness appreciate the support
that Rancho Bernardo has given them in the past. Today, more than ever, they
need your help. As you have read, the SDPD can no longer provide them with
paper, envelopes and other essential supplies that they require to get their
safety and security messages, flyers and brochures out to the public.
Rancho Bernardo is very proud of Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Preparedness and grateful that their dedicated volunteers devote so much of their time and expertise to the safety, security and quality of life of Rancho Bernardo. But they need your continuing support to augment their programs. They are not funded by the City or the County - they count on individuals like you. Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Preparedness have a continuing need for funds now to:
Please help them to further the 'neighborliness,’ security, safety and the resulting quality of life in Rancho Bernardo by making your own financial contribution. Please make your check payable to: San Diego Foundation and send to RB NHW/EPP, 17110 Bernardo Center Drive, SD 92128. It is fully tax deductible. Call 858-538-8148 for questions or for further information.
Neighborhood Watch is being revitalized now that President Bush and the Department of Justice have issued statements over the past year regarding its importance to Homeland Security. We need to be more aware of suspicious happenings, we need to be more involved in order to prevent crime and we need to help our neighbors. All interested parties are invited to participate in training and informational meetings in July at the library. There is a meeting on Thursday, July 24 at 9:30, and Saturday, July 26 at 9:30 am. Bring your thoughts, questions and ideas to these sessions. The Neighborhood Watch staff will be on hand to explain what they do and how it benefits Rancho Bernardo – with your help. There will be many handouts for you to give to your neighbors. * * * * * It’s not too soon to begin planning your Tuesday, August 5 "Night Out Against Crime" get-togethers. It’s a fun night with neighbors meeting and greeting each other and exchanging information to keep them safe and secure. Courtesy RB NEWS JournalJuly 17, 2003 |
