Finally! www.RBernardo.com
It’s hard to explain a great idea, but I’ll try. www.RBernardo.com is a brand new multi-paged website with links "devoted to the safety and security of Rancho Bernardo and to the many interests of all RB residents." It is informative and up-to-date. (Is there anything worse than a website that says ’last updated in August 1997"?) Or even August 1999? www.RBernardo.com is a one-stop outlet for your many and varied interests. Interested in the police reports, the monthly RB crime statistics, the Station 33 fire callouts? How about RB organizations such as the RB Community Council, Planning Board and Recreation Council - what they do and an updated listing of Directors. Perhaps you are interested in the Houses of Worship or Community Centers (addresses, fax and telephone numbers.)Then there is always Emergency, non-emergency and Storefront telephone numbers. What does the RSVP do? Who are its leaders? Monthly stats that would impress the most jaded. All about Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Preparedness, Amateur Radio and, yes, even a Dog Park update. (You’ll like this one.) Are you interested in looking at the latest Earthquake information? How about an update on those pesky Africanized honey bees? Check out the latest frauds and scams through links to the National Fraud Information Center, the Better Business Bureau and Channel 10’s Troubleshooter. Naturally, there are links to all local movie theaters, as well as Poway Performing Arts, Welk Resorts, and the California Center for the Arts in Escondido. Everything you want on one website. If it’s not here, email to writeus@RBernardo.com/ The first 100 people who write and comment will receive a gift! There are special pages for seniors - the latest about Joslyn and Senior Services. There is a special link to healthfinderÓ , the Continuing Education Center (even a form for membership) and the Historical Society with their special page, "History of Rancho Bernardo." Active clubs like Newcomers, the Press Club, and a special tribute page to the RB Hall of Fame recipients over the years. The Chamber of Commerce has a page to link to their own website. You will be up-to-date on a weekly basis with "News from the Storefront" and a link to the RB NewsJournal. RB’s Service Clubs are not forgotten: Kiwanis, RB Lions, and the Rotary Club. (Who is the ‘Tail Twister’ in the Lions Club?) A special Local Attractions page is featured with links to the Wild Animal Park, the Zoo, Seaworld, and others. Always remember to come back to the home page for more information. www.RBernardo.com will always be dynamic and interesting. New pages will be added constantly. You’ll want to visit often to see the latest Rancho Bernardo has to offer.Courtesy RB NEWSJournal |
