AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN
Rancho Bernardo Branch

AAUW, founded in 1881, is the oldest, largest and most diverse national organization for college graduates - over 150,000 members in 50 states.

The California AAUW, founded in San Francisco in 1886, today has more than 24,000 members in over 170 branches.

The Rancho Bernardo Branch was organized in 1969. Membership offers opportunities to support local and national scholarships, to hear stimulating speakers, to join special interest groups and to interact with other women with inquiring minds. Membership is open to any graduate with a degree from an accredited four-year college. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month, October through May, except April, at the Rancho Bernardo Swim and Tennis Club. Luncheon meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday in September, April, and June at local country clubs. Our newsletter, The Rancho Bernardo Spokeswoman, published 10 times a year, will give you dates and places. Call Membership Vice President Eileen Miller, (858) 675-4558 or Co-President Benita Page (858) 451-9778, for more up-to-date information.  Our new website is www.aauwranchobernardo.org.

The Poway-Penasquitos Branch has many Rancho Bernardo Members.

The AAUW is supporting 2 other separate not-for-profit organizations: AAUW Educational Foundation and the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund. Please check our websites at www.aauw-ca.org and www.aauw.org for more complete information.

Current special interest groups include: Book Discussion,  Bridge, Mah Jongg, Cinema,  Couples Dine Out,  International Interests, and Singles Eat Out.
