
| The Bernardo Concerts
Association is a non-profit organization of volunteers serving area
residents since 1975. Year after year, outstanding musical performances
have enriched the communities of Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Carmel Mountain
Ranch and Rancho Penasquitos.
The enthusiasm and response of the public is indicated in the high percentage of renewals each season. The appreciation of good music is also fostered in students throughout the Poway Unified School District. The number of annual subscriptions reaches the maximum every year. All concerts are held in the Poway Center for the Performing Arts at 15498 Espola Road in Poway. All performances are at 7:30 p.m. except for Sunday, May 4 when performances will be at 2 and 5 p.m. Admission is by subscription only. Artists are selected from nationally and internationally acclaimed performers. There is an inevitable relationship between the quality of
performances and the cost. Since the objective of the Bernardo Concerts Association is to offer the best available artists at reasonable
cost, additional funding above basic subscriptions is necessary. This is
attained through the Patron Program. Selected businesses and
professionals donate generously, as do many individual members.
