[Friends of the Library]

The Friends of the Library provide books, periodicals, children's programs and other special services which are not in the regular budget of the Rancho Bernardo Branch.  Funds are raised from Friends' dues and sales of donated books.  The Friends' membership is now over 300.

The Friends Book Shop, located on the Library's first floor, is staffed by volunteers and is open every day of the week:

Mondays and Wednesdays 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tues., Thurs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fridays 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Sundays 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Inventory Book Sales, featuring hardcover books at half the marked price and paperbacks at 5 for $1.00, are held twice a year on the library's second floor from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Friends sponsor a series of free monthly chamber music concerts held at 6:30 p.m. in the 2nd floor Community Room on the 4th Wednesday of the month (except for December, July and August).
