The Rancho Bernardo Historical Society was formed in 1982. Their goal is to collect and protect two types of artifacts:
- the early days from the days of Native Americans and the Spanish landowners, up until 1960.
At the present time, part of the Society's collection can be seen at the RB Library in the Reference Section. Included are bound copies of many monthly magazines and newspapers mailed to all residents between 1962 and 1978.
- after 1960 when the idea of Rancho Bernardo was conceived and ultimately developed.
We are looking for a permanent place to display these and many other important artifacts and documents.
Residents interested in joining the Society, please call Cathy Sirpis at 487-7397. Our meetings are held at 2:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the San Diego National Bank.
