The Rancho Bernardo Planning Board is chartered by the City of San Diego to advise the Planning Commission, the City Council and other city departments concerning land use issues.Its principal purpose is to protect the official Rancho Bernardo Community Plan, thereby preserving property values and the RB lifestyle. The Planning Board provides a forum to discuss land use issues, including aspects pertaining to the compliance of neighborhood codes.
The Board meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the RB Library, 2nd floor. All meetings are open to the public, and participation is welcomed. The twenty members of the Board are elected for two year terms from each of the seven RB districts. These members, in turn, elect three additional members representing commercial, industry, and interests of developers.
